First Thai Betta!

Some people may know, awhile ago my betta star burt passed away, and since then have been on the prowl for that one fish... I was really trying to get one within the US, but I kept finding that everytime I found one that I thought was great looking, it was from thailand. So today I was surfing around on aquabid and found this guy. As soon as I saw him I knew I had to have him. Ended up getting him for $10, and now Im gonna be dealing with the whole shipping process. I dont plan on breeding so Im not too concerned with the specifics of it. I just think this guy is gorgeous!

All the pics of him are here--->

Ill post some of him in his new home when he arrives :)

Anyone up for a round of "Name that Betta!"?!?!?!

Wow, he is BEAUTIFUL!! I know it's not very original, but I think Koi would be a good name for him.

Actually all bettas in stores are from Thailand :)

Your guy is so gorgeous....but sigh I don't order from Thailand (heard horror stories and such but I will be buying them because I need some amazing stock).

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

Wow! Look at the size of the back fin. That is one gorgeous Betta Fish!

Da- Attainment it also is a martial art term meaning big or hit or strike
Dai- Beloved
Donghai- Eastern Sea
Bohai- Elder Brother Sea
Bohin- Elder Brother Rain
Gang- Strength

I hope these names don't sound too wierd to you. They are all Chinese names. I'm very bad with other names besides Chinese names. I apologize for that.

He's pretty!! :D
The names I thought of are Japanese words for fan: Sensu (hand fan) or Uchiwa (round fan).
His tail reminds me of one. You could add a name or word that fits him before the two I mentioned too.
Sensu Azure?
Or a name related to the desert.

But my grandmother is actually moving in with us soon and i am going to let her name it (she is 100% japanese, making myself 25%) everything she ever names is ALWAYS japanese lol. will be a nice little present for her i think :)
