What animallover4lyfe said, it was probably the flow of the filter. I have the same heater and it does a wonderful job. Then I realized that I had my power filter on the same side of the tank as my heater, so I moved the filter to the other side after reading this thread. I don't want to return it but I don't want an exploding tank either! Just keep them on opposite sides of the tank!

I have a Stealth in my 10 gal...only problem is that for the past week or so it's not been heating properly. I used to have it on 79 and it kept the tank at around 77-78, but now it's dropped down to 72...
