Serial Killer !!

I now know why my fish are all dying with no explanation. My female betta, I just witnessed her kill a neon tetra. For 7 months they have been co-existing with no problems at all but its all of a sudden she seems to have turned psychotic on me. I need to get her out of there asap but have no where to put her. I have no luck lol

Awww sorry to hear about your tetra. Your female betta sounds like she's 'in charge' of her tank!

Maybe put her in a vase as a temporary measure? Or move the tetras to another tank?

As a temporary measure get a breeding net then she'll still be in the same water until you can move her permanantly

She kept jumping out of the breeding net so I have her in a vase, for the time being. She is most definately in charge, she used to be the nicest out of the lot then a week down the line I have 1 remaining female betta out of 7 and 4 tetras out of 6, shes absolutely crazy

I just had that problem today. My mom has neon tetras with her Betta and he loves them. I got a larger tank and thought some tetras would be a nice addition... I came home today and was greeted with "tetra minus head." I'm think I'm going to stick with sterner tank mates (like my cories) they can handle Ryu's temporary bouts of insanity and aggression.

Kira - Bronze Cory

Sorry to hear you lost so many.. unfortunately, that is the risk with sororities.. they just up and become a disaster in the matter of hours. Girls can be just as aggressive as males, and actually prefer not to be housed together. Looks like one just decided she wanted the tank to herself. :(

Breeder so I have too many to count and too many named to list here!
