Is this just me?

Trying to find a HM female is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I have a cellophane marble female which is from a halfmoon line but trying to find a true HM is not easy. Is it just me or are these fish difficult to get a hold of unless you buy off aquabid?

I never see hm females for sale alone, just on AB if you buy a male and get a sibling!

what are you getting a female for? breeding, sorority, or just as a plain old- fishy wishy?

Yeah HM females are only available on aquabid. BTW if you ever see HM females at a store and their kids end up being VT...no suprise there.

Alot of VT females look HM but aren't...only HM females can be found on a breeders site or on aquabid. Also almost all of these HMs are culls, not worthy of breeding.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

They bought from a local breeder that bought from aquabid. And now breeds. I think they do have some VT there though. They keep the HM for themself, unless your buddie buddie with them
