where do you think is the best place to buy fish: petsmart, petco, aquabid.com, etc. etc. i want the best bettas for breeding and i have no idea which one is better.
Aqubid bettas are BEAUTIFUL!! I've seen some nice ones for under 10 dollars if you don't really want to splurge, and you know that even the cheaper aquabid bettas are probably healthier or prettier than pet store ones.
There is just something I love about taking a ragged walmart or pet store betta and bringing it back to perfect health. Of course since you are looking to breed aquabid is most likely your best place to look.
Nothings wrong with buying some nasty looking ragged tail VT (by this I mean sick looking...all bettas are beautiful!) because with proper care they look as stunning as aquabid fish IMO.
If your looking for breeding stock I suggest you go through a breeder, whether privately or through aquabid. Joining a local breeders group or the IBC is a great option.
You can go to www.ibcbettas.org and look under "chapters" to see if there is a club near you where you can meet breeders who are local to you.
Aquabid trust me more than half my bettas are from there and there's Nothing better than aquabid bettas. If your lucky you can find ones with massivE fins too I have 3 than are hugeeee!!!
You can order from Thailand or the US. US breeders are easier but most Thai fish are more quality.
