Question Ordering Bettas From Petco?

Hi! I wasn't quite sure where to start this thread, so I put it here... anyway, my local Petco's Betta selection has degraded over the past 6-8 months or so. I kept checking the store, hoping that they would get plakats, but no dice. I noticed that they now sell a bunch of Betta types online, though. Has anyone ordered a live Betta from them?

I never have, but you have no choice in color so you really never know what you're going to get! It would be a real gamble!

Some have and only had problems. Look on www.aquabid.com if you want something special. Thailand orders are difficult unless you have a transhipper near you like I do.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

Agreed. Ordering fish online from Petco has been nothing but trouble, based on some people I've talked to who've done it.

I wouldn't.. I just see that being a mess. If the fish came dead, I think it would be a hassle to get another.
