As I said before, it took my VT 5 days to eat.

It took him over a month to show personality... some fish are more high strung than others. Hopefully your guy will start eating soon, he's very beautiful. good luck with him!

If guppies are jewels, than Bettas must be rainbows

Thanks. I tried soaking his pellets in Garlic juice. Nothing happened. He is showing quite a bit of personality now, though. He likes to swim, in spite of his tail, he's easily startled, loves his cup cave, and flares a lot. He's cute.

When I first got Mandala, for a few weeks he was the most boring fish I ever had. But now he is one of my favorites, just took him longer to come out of his shell.
Also, in another veiw point. I have had Stahl for about a month. He has a very 'blah' personality. He swims very slow and does not dance or make bubbles. He is also very easily stressed. He gets a stress stripe everytime I clean his tank. But that is just him. I put him in a 15 gal all to himself recently and he is swimming around a bit more.
But I have begun to love him for his uniqueness, he may be considered more boring than my others but it makes him stand out.
Sorry, that was really long. :)

It's okay. He is showing a lot more personality, though. I finally got him to eat, but it was shrimp. Cocktail shrimp. lol

Yeah. I'm going to crush up shrimp, garlic, and blanched spinach and freeze it. That's what OldFishLady does. She makes her own food. I might as well. It's not like it will get used up quickly, so it's cheap. I might as well stick with what works.

My HM Dahli has the most amazing personality ever he doenst seem hindered by his tail at all. It also took him a few days, but I had a HMPK that was the most boring betta ever just sat there all day I ended up giving him to another person for a community tank where he is happy but i think sometimes betta just have personalities of rocks.

Miki's tail doesn't seem to faze him, either. In fact, he can swim the fastest of all my Betta boys. He has the longest, bulkiest tail, too. But, MAN! He's like a little dart!
