Is Aquabid worth it?

So I'm in the market to buy another betta (story of my life? lol). All my bettas are pet store bought and I love them but I'm willing to spend more to buy a nicely bred betta from a quality breeder.

Is aquabid the way to go? I know the shipping rates are crazy expensive, but if I'm guaranteed a live healthy drop dead gorgeous betta, I'll pay whatever.

So I need opinions from people that have used aquabid or those that have had good/bad experiences.. is it worth it?

My Bettas:
Atlantis - Opaque/Blue Crowntail Male
Captain Bubblesworth - Turquoise/Lavendar Crowntail Male
Amazon - Black Orchid Crowntail Male
Rousseau - Red/White Butterfly Veiltail Male
Senor Fiesta - Mustard Gas Crowntail Male
Naevia - Pastel Veiltail Female
Isis - Marble-ish Deltatail Male
Fiona - Cambodian Veitail Female
Amelia - Blue Veiltail Female
Sophia - Mustard Gas Veiltail Female
Delilah - Marble Veiltail Female

From my point of view:

Go back 100 steps in my breeding program or suck it up and drop $35 to ship some nice fish to get ahead in my breeding goals.

My reccomended sellers:
the_K
Martinismommy (on this forum)
Chaba (Thailand)
Ploybettas (Thailand)

As for transhippers...LINDA!!

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

If I were you, I'd buy a Betta from one of the fabulous breeders on this forum.

Sequin (m), Shortcake (f), Westley (m), and Sir Righty of Walton (m).

Alright, good to know who the good breeders/transhippers are. I'm not a breeder, so the betta would just be my pet. You think it's still worth it? I've heard that bettas from good breeders have longer life expectancies..

Martinismommy aka Karen has amazing, show winning, bettas.

For aquabid, my guide to buying fish on there:

is it worth it?

It is if you find the fish that you can't find anywhere else.

I know i'll be buying from there once i get my tank set up. I'm hoping to find all 4 fishes from the same person if possible

Aquabid is a great site to head to if your planning on getting a nicely bred Betta. The prices can get pretty high but the Bettas are well worth it.

Dark Blue Male Veiltail (Fin damage at the moment) - Safaia.
Emerald Green Male Veiltail (Dead)-Emerarudo.
