This DBTPK has really uneven fins.

The lobes are just WAY off... I can see why it's only being sold for $12. It's not breeding quality. It's nice, but not up to snuff. Anyway... I'd get him if I had the money, seeing as no breeder or someone looking for a show fish would buy him. He'd make a good pet, though!

i think i know that fish. o3o if he's bred by the person i think he is, almost none of their DTHMPKs or DTCTs have even lobes. they're still very pretty, though.

I hope you know the breeder is on this forum. I have a PK from him...he's got nice fish. Also DTs with uneven lobing is more the norm than not....it's pretty hard to get a nice even lobed DT.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

nah, i'm just saying! :O some people feed their bettas extra to make them plump for photos. i adore DTs, whether they're even, uneven, not all the way split, what have you. :3 i've always seen pretty even tails, but the uneven ones give them more character. :3

Aww I think he's gorgeous despite his flaws. I've bought a number of fish that have never been perfect and I love them for it. :)

oh, i'm sure most of my boys and girls aren't perfect, but i adore them anyways. <3 Cup with his uber finnage, Chappy with her vanishing-act Dragon scaling, Zidane with his curly rays. the imperfections, imo, make them more unique and loveable. <3

IMO-that Betta is not bloated...it has a nice round tummy...often DT may have shorter bodies and their tummy will be rounder in appearance....

Bloated fish usually will have other symptom along with the bloat....they often become lethargic, hiding, sitting in a corner-top or bottom, absence of poop sometimes, no appetite often......long term you may see scale sticking up at the tummy area and vent may or may not protrude.....a round tummy doesn't always mean you have a problem...but a well fed fish or a fish with a short body
