I'm not a fan of curled fins. They seem messy to me.

I think small spaces (like the cups they come in) also can make their fins curl.

is that Aigis i spy in your avatar pic, Jupiter? xD

i don't know about that one, though. my mom's CT's fins only curl a little, but both her CT's fins, and my brothers' CT's fins are "melting" away slowly. :/ makes me think it's all water quality.

I don't like curled fins. I know of one breeder that consistently line bred his fish at 3 -4 months of age. His fish were near perfect, but a curly ventral showed up at around 7-8 months of age. That is one of the reason why I don't breed my fish too young. Curly fins or other undesirable traits might not show up until the fish is older. What good is a betta fish that only looks good at 4 months of age when they live for years?

What kind of betta would a Shinji betta be? One that likes to cook? xD

nah. x3 he'd be tough, maybe a PK or HMPK, cause they look tough. maybe deep red, kinda like his coat? o3o or, maybe a red copper. xD <3 now i want one. xD

oddly, my VT's fins never curled. it's just Zidane, my CT, and my Delta's top fin curls in a little.

Once they're curled they tend not to straighten again although it does depend on the severity of the curling. One of my HM's fins started to curl before I used IAL and his straightened back out fine. My CTs never did.

yeah, i've never been able to straighten my CT's fins, either. x-X doesn't bother me much, but he doesn't take a very pretty picture anymore. xD
