Goldfish Plants?

Ok so I have a 20g full of goldfish. I also have a bucket of plants that we used in the goldfish tank. I like to switch it up, so the plants have been used before. Is there anyway of washing them to make the 100% safe for betta fish to put in my tank? I need some taller plants.

Uhh... full of goldfish? The general rule of thumb for stocking goldfish is 20g for the first fish and 10g for each additional fish. Fancies reach 8-12" long, double that for common "feeder" fish. They also produce a lot of waste and need more oxygen than normal, so you need double the filtration. If you haven't already gone ahead and bought them, maybe you should set a bigger tank up first.
