New Bettas

So I upgraded my 5 gallon to a ten gallon at home for my male betta. He is my first betta ever! And he is about 3.5 years old maybe a tad older. But I really want to divide the tank and get another one.

I have been on the search for a perfect betta that would stand out in my ten gallon once divided. What do you guys think would look great? The plants are all green and the gravel is black.

Also, I want to get a new betta for my desk at work. I have a 2.5 hex and heater at home with some natural looking gravel that I could use. Just one big problem, I work at a marina and our bathrooms/showers are at the other end of the grounds so water changes would be a hassle, but I am up for it.

Only sucks though is that at the moment our office is in the middle of remodeling and constantly getting flooded. So everything is moved around and I can not find any open plugs near my deask, Ill have to get a power strip and wait for the office to be put back together. But I really dont wanna wait.

A red Betta would REALLY pop against the green plants and black gravel.

That is my ten gallon, and I already have my old boy who is red with blue... BTW I am removing the neons, going to a friend and my snail died.

Thanks for the idea. I just kinda want something other than red since Aka is already red.

If you can find a white or cellophane Betta, that would also be an awesome choice. I understand why you want a different color.

I was at petco the other night, they had some great bettas but no divider for a 10 gallon so I was unable to get a new fishie.

I would maybe try to find an orangish one? Also, I love how his tail looks like someone accidentally painted the tip of his tail with a paintbrush

Orange might be neat color. If I can find one, I never seen any around the stores near me. I'll keep looking.
