What should I get???

Ok so I have a 10g and I am going to put betta in it. Im not sure if I should start a sorrority or divide it, 1 half for my girl and 1 half for a new boy. What do you guys think I should do? I was more thinking of dividing it, but a sorrority sounds kinda fun. What should I do?

Ya that is exactly what I was thinking too! But I love the males and colours and tails. Whatever I am thinking about starting a sorrority! Yay! Still kind of on the edge though. I don't know much about sorrorities....

You shouldn't start a sorority until you have a LOT of experience with Bettas. Also, John, you may want to rethink that having "more" is better. For example, having 6 goldfish in a 2.5 gallon container is WAY too much. Goldfish need at least 20 gallons EACH to reach adult size. Ask anyone on this site, they will tell you the same thing.

Sequin (m), Shortcake (f), Westley (m), and Sir Righty of Walton (m).

@sweeda, i know i'm over stocked with goldfishes in one tank right now :( I know that I need a bigger tank, but my parents don't let me have one yet. I'm going to ask my aunt for an aquarium soon, she has like giant ones in her backyard that are now just empty.

I'm siding with Sweeda here. I've got a a good chunk of knowledge of betta care under my belt, but I'm still hesitant about starting a sorority tank. I would just divide your tank up. I've done it in the past and it was a great set up.

I am thinking about getting my first female to put in my nightstand tank.

@river that's so cool :) I've always wanted a female betta, even though I only had a betta for about a week now :)
