Talking New fishies picture journal :)

I figured I'd start a little picture journal. I'm going to fill up my tank/QTs tonight so the water can sit overnight and adjust to a good temperature- I'll post pictures of it with water once I get it filled (Cleaning my room XD).

Then I'm getting my new fish tomorrow so I'll post pictures of them.

And then I'll just post new pictures every couple days :)

YAY!!

Thanks :)

Neither can I!

I'm making a list of everything I want to pick up tomorrow and I think I've got it all written down.

Why are there vases in the water, and it's only half full? It looks strange... There is no fish in the vases, so you can't be acclimating them.

QT- as suggested to me by a number of members (Lupin, etc.) since I'm bringing two guys home. Just in case one is sick, I don't want it to infect the other, seeing as the tank is divided and all.

I can't fill it up all the way because the one QT is a bowl and if I fill the tank up too far it floats/capsizes, which isn't exactly the point of the whole exercise. I'd pick up another vase, but I've only got about $110 ATM and I don't want to spend more than $40 tomorrow (I'm picking up more food and plants as well as my fish) because then I'll be running really low and I'm trying to save for a guitar.

I do my QT this way because I only have one heater, and by doing it this way, both fish will stay heated- the water surrounded the QT is heated by the heater, which keeps the water in the QTs warm (Something I learned from OFL).

I'm picking them up tomorrow. The only reason why it's set up tonight is the temperature can stabilize and everything before I bring them home, because I tend to have a little trouble getting the temperature just right when I get the water ready.

Haha I was like "O.o A senior member doesn't know about QT.... There's something wrong here." but I figured you probably just forgot XD

THEY'RE HEREEEEEE!

I got the red DT (He was still there, his color is a bit faded ATM cause of stress but he was BEAUTIFUL at the store, I can't wait till he feels less stressed out) and a royal blue and white butterfly delta (All the HMs were gone, but he's a pretty boy anyways).

Pictures to follow :) I'm acclimating them right now.

I know about QT. It just didn't compute until you said something. I think I was just confused by the vases. That's not how I QT mine (I use a separate 1 gallon), so it didn't click.
