Unhappy HELP! I think my beta fish is broken :(

My beta has been acting really weird the last few days and now I am concerned. He is thrashing himself against the walls, not eating, trying to bury himself in the gravel and knock over the plants. He's looking much smaller in size, his fins are clamped until he swims into his rage then he gets all fluffy. I don't know what to do. I've tried changing his water 50%, then 100%, making sure his water is in the high 70s (F)..

I am no "beta pro" by any means but i did keep one alive for 2 years & this one is about 8 months old. I feed him once a day 3-5 peices and keep his container clean and at appropriate temperature. there is no "heat" light simply because the normal light and the temperatures of my home keep his water warm enough. i don't know what to do. He's also looking very torn and cut up. I loves my beta fish, Optimus prime, very much. Any advise is helpful <3

I think the thrashing is a sign of parasites... that's about all I know though. You'd be better off posting in the Betta Diseases section of the forum :)

How big is his tank? What is your water change schedule? What additives do you treat his water with? what temperature is his tank? Do you have a picture?
