I'm trying to teach Percy to jump for food, but it's not going very well

He has this thing against this certain pen. He only flares up at this pen, and he goes mental! I've tried other pens, but they don't work.

I occasionaly put a mirror in front of the glass, that keeps him stimulated.

I've wondered how much betta bites hurt... I'm assuming it's not a lot, because their teeth are so tiny :P

The 3 I've had the longest don't do much in terms of playing with me. Cheep-Cheep and Maximus just ignore any interactions I try to do, except sit at the front of the tank waiting for food. If I put my finger in Edwin's section, he'll swim in circles around it. Loki, on the other hand, is not afraid of my hands at all. He will come up and stare at my hands. He never flares, just looks. And the other day he actually bit my finger! It was neat.

Love my Common Pet Store boys:
Cheep-Cheep | Edwin | Maximus

Welcome newest adopted boy:
~ Loki ~

I haven't had any bites or nibbles, but my girls swarm my hand/arm when I go to rearrange the tank. They just circle it(like little mini pirahnas!) and stare. And bump. And stare some more. Lol

Haha, cute. I've never really put my hand in their tanks, so maybe I'll have to try it after the water change today.

Just make sure you don't have any scented lotion/oil on your skin. Idk how that'd react with them(I don't bother with moisturizers). But their reaction should be pretty darn cute, lol. My girls love it when I change up their space. They seem to really enjoy poking at the "new" stuff and glare at me when I've moved something to where they don't want it, lol.

Don't worry, I don't put on lotion till the very end xD I'm sorta scared to put my hand in with Schnappi, the half-Plakat half-Piranha fish... Worst comes to worst, I can lie and say I got the scars from something extremely heroic :D
