Yeah walmart has pretty bad conditions. I never buy fish from them. meijer near me is decent. The Bettas are ok sometimes I see bad ones, but their regular tanks are in good shape and clean.

I also have local pet stores too like Anchor Bay Aquarium, Kee's Pet Place, and etc. but I never see Bettas in there really.

i've seen both good, and horrid conditions at my local walmart. no clue what causes the change from bad to good, though.

That would be nice if it was all in top shape to leave a good note. I just thought of something. I could get a betta for my desk at work. Then that way I can use a spare tank and get another betta.

it'll show them, that people are happier when the cups are clean, and there's no dead/dying fish on the shelves. if i leave a note like "e-mail this store if you're happy the cups are clean" or something, maybe more people'll e-mail them when the cups are clean! :D

xD that'll work!
