OMG stupid petstore!!!!

I just went to my local pet store to buy fertilizer for my new aquatic plants and they had a red and white butterfly vt on display in a .8 g betta tank and he was beautiful and I bet you can guess what was in with him? A FEMALE!!! I told the head guy right away and he flipped because one of the other staff did it. The poor girl was half dead and she was so scared that if you moved in front of the tank she freaked out going nuts. The head guy removed her right away. I'm so glad I was there to tell him!!

That poor little female betta fish must've felt terrible in that .8 gallon tank. I'm glad that she was removed from that environment and I hope that someone special comes to rescue her from the store.

I would have thought the first lesson of displaying bettas is "ONE to a tank.", especially in a tank that small. For reasons of preventing fights if not for hygine.

So glad you were there to catch the mistake and save her.

It's a good thing that the manager freaked out about the female being with the male betta because it shows that he cares about the care the fish receive. It could be because of the money, but at least he didn't want the fish to be together in that .8 gallon tank. I do hope that the poor female will find a suitable home.
