We HAVE to stop that experiment. Not only for the betta's-

But for all fish! It's animal abuse what their doing to teach students to do. Not to care for them but to kill them!

We need to stop it! Petitions, information, if your school district has it try to get rid of it!

I know it's a tough try but it's not only to stop betta abuse but to keep them from trying on all freshwater and saltwater petstore fish.

Where they put betta's in a soda bottle with water, sand and plants, never change the water, never feed the betta's and it generally teaches kids to hate fish and abuse them.

I'll send a vid to you via PM.

Yeah, so...
I'm not so shocked to see a stupid teacher, presumably middle school, assigning this kind of bullocks for a science project. Just goes to show you who is teaching kids today. :D

I vote for submitting this to 4chan and anonymous and letting them hunt the teacher/school down.

I'd wait and see. Give her the right advice and tell her to relay the information on as well as search up the correct care for her betta. Let's not troll and I told her I saw a betta in need instead of a grade.

With the right teacher, this mindset would get her a good grade if she stood up for the fish.

I'm against the experiment because humans have already figured out that a betta can't live in an environment that doesn't give any air supply and that ammonia builds up too fast ending in the death of the poor creature. We also know that bettas get stressed about small spaces and that the treatment these animals get during the long period of time that they're in the bottle is pure torture. This is a cruel experiment and it should be banned. What's the point of this "experiment" if we already know what the results are going to be?
