Dragons-Rare or Not?

I went to my local petco, must say their bettas were really nice today! One fish looked like a Dragon Halfmoon. Is this that rare or not? No room to purchase but just wondering.

My Petco has dragons sometimes. Normally they're HMPK's. I don't think they're that uncommon.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

Really, it seems like almost every betta fish you can find today is carrying metallic, or masking traits that many of us recognize as "dragons" . The sad reality is that the pure solid black head variety of royal blue, steel, and turquoise is becoming more and more rare. That is one of the reasons why I have more than one betta line.

Pet Lovers, the pet store i always go to, used to have about five in weekly. i'd say, any color other than red with silver or metallic sky blue scales, is pretty uncommon. red dragon.... i've seen far too many of. .___.

Well, most common in pet stores are the dragons with thick, colored scales. Most common on aquabid seems to be the dragons with the thick silvery scales and the red/blue/black/copper/yellow ETC fins... They're beautiful IMO. But not neccessarily rare. Just uncommon, except now they're becoming more and more common.

(Luimeril, lol, what do you think of copper scaled red finned dragons?)
