What a little cow...

So, I've been feeding my girl Ruto a couple extra pellets a day so that her fins can heal from her 'ordeal' over easter weekend that involved jumping into Jabu-Jabu's side of the tank and getting really roughed up. She's not only doing just fine and fins growing back, but she's become quite the pig.

She has a shrimp in there with her that I feed a pellet every couple of days. Tonight, she decided that her pellets weren't enough. Oh no. She ripped apart the shrimp food and gobbled it down too. And this shrimp food is like... 5 servings of her pellets mashed into one. That's why I usually only do it once every couple of days for the tiny little shrimp. But holy bacon... she was carrying it around in her mouth trying to swallow it and now she looks like a swimming sausage.

Should I be worried about her doing this? XD She seems to be swimming and breathing and everything just fine aside from eating her own freaking body weight.

I'd fast her for a few days XD And, I hear it helps to feed the shrimps after the lights are off because then it'll be harder for her to find.

Now, that's good thinking!! My female is a very good eater, too - I really have to restrain myself from feeding her too much - she's a feeding machine!!
