Talking First Thai Bettas! :D

I found a LFS about an hour from me who sells Thai imported Bettas! And my dad is taking me this afternoon to look, as well as pick up two new 20 gallon rigs that I found for a great price. :D Hopefully, I'll come home with a breeder male and female. Also, I hope to have the 20's divided within' the next few days.

I'll post pics if you guys want!

And yeah, my dad was a huge fish person at my age, so he helps and supports me. <3

They have some really cool ones. There were a couple of red, white and blue I wanted but decided on some different colors. No females.

I would say 20 or 30. It took me like 45 minutes to finally decide! Lol!

its not a really huge thing to be surprised about. most petstores sell bettas that have been imported from Thailand. your common petstore bettas most likely are imports from Thailand. petstores dont just go to local breeders and buy their bettas (though some probably do).

Breeder males are easy to find...it's the females that are hard. I've seen some nice breeding worthy males at PetCo but of course no females.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.
