Depressing day at Petco

Usually the petco I go to has generally healthy bettas, and a great variety as well. Today when I bought my new copper a ton of Bettas had stress bars, a few where starting to show signs of fin rot and many had mild to sever swim bladder.

The saddest was a little blue male who had swim bladder and kept missing the freeze dried blood worm he was trying to eat, it totally broke my heart and I watched him to make sure he got it.

Not sure what was wrong with Petco today, they disappointing me

LUCKY Mine's females are even smaller then THAT!

____ That's about how small the crowntail girls are

My Petco's pretty bad when the woman who usually runs the fish section isn't there. Some had pretty bad finrot other had SBD and some just tore themselves to shreds.

I don't understand why people don't try to do what they need to do, take care of the fish. Is it not obvious they are sick to them?
I understand that jobs are hard to get, and you grab whatever is available, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do your job well if you don't like it.
It's harder to, yea, but why not try?
Theres a difference in trying and messing up sometimes and not trying at all and not caring.
