Saw the most beautiful Betta yesterday

His body was that light shimmery pink of the cambodian coloring. But his fins were mostly translucent. The fins had patches of deep blue. His cup said he was a halfmoon. But he had a double tail. Is there a combo like that? It was round but the tail was split in two like a doubletail.

So beautiful. I wish I could get another fish but hubby would kill me. Who would have thought there would be a fish so beautiful at Petco.

My Petco though gets some real beauties.

Petco is truly cruel with all the gorgeous fish they get in that I can't take home. My petco's been known to mislabel bettas or perhaps he was just a double tail halfmoon. Either way, he sounds like he was a pretty boy.

My petco gets beautiful halfmoons with every shipment! Whenever I go there I stare longingly into those cups... So pretty!

when I got my Sven from Petco, the girl at the register mentioned how hard it was to not bring at least one home every shipment, lol
I'm so never allowing myself to work at a pet store ever, hard enough resisting temptation when it comes to bettas as it is, lol

My Petco has a price chart that says :
Veiltails are 3$
Deltas are 6$
Halfmoons go up to 16$.

So they try to fool me by labeling a Veiltail a Halfmoon. (they do it on purpose for us to pay more) XDD But I always say something like "This is not a Halfmoon its a VT" and they look pissed at me. :D

My Bettas:
Sashimi: Red Veil-Tail Male, May 2nd, 2011 (R.I.P)
Leela: Blue/Green Veil-Tail Female, May 14th, 2011
Gemini: Pearl/Green/Red Delta Male, May 21st, 2011 (R.I.P)

& Unnamed 5 Bettas

Old fisherman never die, they just smell like it.

Oh goddess yes. Petco is evil with how beautiful their HM's are.

LOL Good for you. Sometimes my Petco does it the other way around. I've seen halfmoons labeled as VT.
