Hello, I am new to the forum because I have a question. I have owned several bettas in the past and decided it was time for another one. Today I went to buy a betta fish and noticed that the store was selling baby bettas and I bought one. When I went to look online to see how often to feed the little guy, and also to see if setting up a smaller tank was necessary since I have a 10 gallon tank, I came across people saying that betta fry should not be sold and that they are hard to keep alive. I feel bad, but I do not want to return him and have him go home with a ten year old to live in a half gallon fish bowl. I do have high hopes that he will make it, because he looks quite healthy. Also, he doesn't look as small as I have seen people say their pet stores sell. He is an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half long.
I have not found any information on when a young betta can be moved to a larger tank. I have the 10 gallon tank set up and waiting for him and would like him to be in that as soon as he is ready. Also, when can I stop the daily water changes?
Thanks!
