Ugh Craigslist

Everyday i check the craigslist in my area for a 5-10 gallon fishtank and ive came across about 10 but its so annoying because they ALWAYS include fish -.- Besides the fact that its usually 2-5 goldfish. I wish theyd just sell me the tank but ugh, i dont want to be responsible for what happens to the fish inside if i agreed to pay for JUST the tank. Next weekend im going to start looking at yardsales and goodwill!

RIP to my little Coraline.

lol Ive got one in my town, just never been. I really need to go check it out asap! Id like to have a 10 gallon with filter/heater/divider so my male and female can have 5 gallons each, and so i could just buy one heater instead of two this fall, and plus it could cycle before then :)) Ive had space cleared out for a month, just no deals yet,. Goodwill will be next on my list! If all else fails ill end up buying one for 12 dollars, buying a filter and buying a heater, but hopefully i can save a little and find something :)

RIP to my little Coraline.

Sometimes if you check ebay, and put in closest in distance, and look up fish tanks, it will come up with SUPER cheap tanks in your area. Like, bid starting at $0.99, as long as you pick up the tank. Good luck!

Or as Luim said, ask your LPS and LFS if they would take the fish if you "donate" them, they are usually willing to take them.

That ebay idea is good! I Dont have any like local shops, just walmart, petsmart, and petco, not sure theyd take them, and not sure if they wouldnt just kill them. Hmm.
There was a nice 10 gallon with 2 goldfish in it for 20 dollars, id just need a heater which is fine.

RIP to my little Coraline.

Another website (that is a bit more expensive, ie: the sellers set their sights a LITTLE high, LOL) is kijiji.com (or .ca - not sure where you live). Its very similar to craigslist. I personally like it better than craigslist.

You could always try posting the goldfish up for sale in craigslist, ebay etc.. for free (or a profit :P) if you did get the 10g goldfish tank.

Try looking on google for local petstores around your area that would take in the fish.
