they are usually fry or young bettas ready for sale :P

They can survive in cups if the water is changed daily although I don't think that's very nice xD

besides, they can easily jump to the each other's cups..

That's me on the photo alright.

Poor fish. It's one thing to jar fish in secure containers where they can't jump over, it's another to have them OPEN on a COLD CONCRETE FLOOR! That's just sad.

I would hate having to do water changes on all those little cups...Would really kill the back after the 50th cup or so...

Sweeda, I think they are in Thailand or something, depending on the time of the year I don't think the weather is too cold or any cold at all, since it's a tropical country, but yes, leaving them inside a large hangar is quite cruel I would say...

Another reason why I don't buy any live thing online, but that's just my paranoia. xD

That's me on the photo alright.

It is thailand. I found the photos when looking for CTPK's. I was joking about that being what my house will looking like if I don't get my betta addiction under control. Of course I would not keep mine in little cups.

I know you wouldn't keep them like that. But WHY aren't there lids? That's dangerous. You could end up with males in other male's cups, or dead fish on the floor. Also, even if it IS Thailand, in a basement (which is what it looks like), concrete is NEVER warm. I know. We used to have a house with concrete floors in the basement, and even on hot summer days, they were freaking cold!

I don't think they have basements in Thailand, the watertable is to high. I think it's probably just a old house. But I agree they should have lids. They are just different over there when it comes to their practices. Sorry if the pics upset people .

my gramma had a concrete basement back in brazil... at summer the ground was boiling hot.. LOL! Either way both options are bad;

- boiling hot
- freezing cold

... darn ;V

That's me on the photo alright.

Just remember guys... the breeders in thailand and other asian countries would not be as successful as they are if they didn't know what they were doing.
