New betta

My LPS store that just opened up last year just started selling bettas yesterday. What better way to celebrate than to buy a betta? The display was square shaped and there were no barriers between the bettas. However each cup did have an airline, two extra pea sized holes in the lid, and led light on each one. They just got their shimpment in yesterday and they sold a couple of them already.

I ended up buying this guy for about $7. He is always at the front of the cup even after I got him home. I hoping that he marbles. Anyway, I would really love some suggestions on names for this guy. I live a few miles from a beach so I was thinking something beach themed or Turq (which is short for turquoise). I prefer non human names rather than human names but I'll consider any names.

Edit: I cannot see the attached thumbnails of the betta on my side. Let me know if you can't see him.

I'm to try posting the pictures again. Anyway, he got Cupid's old tank. He is reacting pretty good. He's checking out his surroundings right now. I noticed that part of his fin is missing. My guess its because of the stress of being shipped here. It doesn't look fin rot has set in yet so we'll see.

Edit: I don't understand why pictures are not showing up for me. I've been doing it the same way I've always done it. To get a better picture of him, he is basically a white delta? tail betta with some turqoiuse spots on his body (not many), and mustard fins.

Still looking for names. He is a gentle friendly fish, that swims up to me when he sees me. He never bites me. I was thinking maybe Nymph (a mystical water nymph).

I can finally see the pictures on the forum again, sorry that I couldn't when you first posted them.

He's a beauty, and it'll be interesting to see if his color changes.

Nymph's a cute name. If you haven't settled on it, I like Trident too :)

Thank you but I think I will go with Trident. He looks like a Trident more than a Nereid but that just may be me. Thank you for your suggestions. ^^

I know you've settled on a name but you said he was gentle...I would name him Ben...as in Gentle Ben. You may be too young to know what that is referring too of course.

I'm probably too young to know what you are referring to. The only Ben I know of is Big Ben. :) Also Trident, likes the laser pointer and he seems photogenic.
Every time I'm by his tank trying to take a picture of him with my phone and he sees my phone, he will swim mostly in the front of the tank then pause in place, letting his fins fan out for about five seconds, then keep repeating the steps until he doesn't want his picture taken anymore. When that happens, he'll move to the sides of the tank or swim into his cave.
