Question Links to literature?

A couple questions.

1- Does anybody know where I can find some literature about betta genetics? While doing my chores this morning I decided I would like to read up on my fish genetics a bit more. Any links would be appreciated!

2- What are some hints I can look for in determining finnage in my fry? My issue is that its a PK x DT mating. The DT males are obvious, but how will I be able to tell between PK males and females and DT females from PKs? (Hope that wasn't confusing, haha)

All the help would really be appreciated!!!

I don't understand what you mean by "hints on determining finnage".

The difference between males and females in general;
Male; body slightly longer.
Usually colors are more vibrant (not always).
Bigger/longer fins (ventral longer, dorsal and caudal wider - (not long as in all DT)).
Female; the opposite to a male
body slightly shorter (looks shorter because of the fatter/wider body)
smaller/shorter fins with a less vibrant color
Has an ovipositer

These aspects apply to all tail types.

DT's caudal has two lobes... lol. The geno's has one lobe but a long dorsal - the male's is wider than the female..... same as above.
...... by DT, do you mean long finned DT?

By DT I meant Delta tail.

I know the basics to determining but I guess what I was looking for was some sort of hint in the fins or something (if there are any) as to determine between Delta females and Plakat males which I'm thinking is going to be trickiest part of sexing them.
