I was watching the tank and noticed that Dodo (my betta) was just lazily swimming around. He stared at the bubbles on the surface of the water for a bit, then at a plant, etc.
And then... CRASH!
He never saw it coming, and nor did the neon tetra. Apparently, it was daydreaming as well.
They swam right into each other, head on. Both quickly turned the opposite direction and swam away. I watched it all in what seemed like slow motion just like those test dummy videos. I swear the look on Dodo's face was the "Aaaahhh, what the... where did you come from... get away from meee..." look.
Oh, wait, that sounds familiar from the time he headbutted with the corycat last month.
Lol, nah, he's not going blind. Sometimes he just spazzes out, and sometimes he's in la la land. He likes to stare at stuff including the computer monitor so that rules out the going blind theory.
I think he was just having one of those moments.
Now he's in one of his special "lets circle around this leaf for a few minutes" moments. I think that's why they crash into each other 'cause the others get curious about his circling while he's not paying attention to anything around him except the object he's circling around.
More lols, though. While circling, he was cleaned (literally) by one of the corycats. He was going so slowly that the corycat came over and ran its bristles over him for a few seconds. He didn't even care; what a mellow betta... or maybe it tickled.
