shipping is more scary for us, than them, i think. xD it can be stressful for the fish, but i rarely hear about DoA fish, and even if they do pass during shipping, the breeder will often replace the fish for you. i had a month old fry shipped to me(without my knowing!), via priority shipping, and she arrived just fine. she was very hungry, of course, but she was fine. :3
How does the shipping thing work? When it says your nearest transhipper, like my nearest is in Miami, would I have to drive to them to get the bettas or anything I ordered or does that transhipper then ship it to you?
The transhipper is sort of a middle man. They get the bettas from overseas and then sort them and mail them to their new homes. This is where most the cost of getting a betta from Thailand comes from. Shipping a betta here is the US isn't cheap. If you decided to get a betta from AB I'd use Jennifer as a transhipper, she's in Atlanta and she's great. The closest transhipper to you isn't always the best.
I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
