Live Food

I'm new to the whole betta ownership and I wanted to feed my male betta live or frozen brine shrimp or larvae, but I live in a podunk town and the small pet store here can only order in large amounts of live bloodworms (too much, they would go bad before I can use all of them.)

Do you have any recommendations on where to get them, is it ok to order them online or should I make a road trip to a store that might carry something?

PODUNK lol, sorry.

1 14 gallon filtered, heated tank: Betta FREEDOM and three platys Sunshine, Sunny, and Orange. Three live plants and a couple of hitchhiker pond snails.

Hey if you lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere Wyoming you'd be calling it podunk too LOL, its at least an hour to the next real town.
Which brings me back to my issue with getting food for Balthazar

Why don't you just buy whatever they have and freeze the stuff you don't need? I'm sorry, I don't know a lot about live food.
Plus, I think it's a lot less hassle when you just use hikari pellets as the daily meals and live bloodworms as a treat. Just my two cents :)

if your not worried about parasites, let out some water in the open to collect mosquito larvae, thats what they eat in the wild

my cycling tank has cyclops i found out...i have as much fun watching them as my fish lol
