Somebody Stop Me

Petsmart just got a new betta shipment a few days ago, and I had to go in to get some bedding for the rats. I just /had/ to look. So I told my grandmother I'd be right back while she looked at dog toys.

They were gorgeous.

There were bunches of crowntails, and a red and white Dragon PK who was gorgeous and lively. There were pretty girls, just the type for a sorority.

Somebody stop me before I go and get them all. My mom will kill me, bring me back to life, and feed me to my fish.

It would be unfair of me to try to stop you when I can barely stop myself. ;)

Somebody needs to set up a betta hotline quickly, so they can slowly talk me out of spending the remaining money I have.

I'm with Dragonflie on this one it would be wrong of me to try to stop you when I cant seem to stop myself either there's always room for 1 or 2 more ;)

It'll be ten times worse when I go off to college, depending on their restrictions on space and tank size and all that. I've got a ten gallon downstairs in the basement just screaming at me.

All those little bettas at the store looked so sweet. And those eyes! They bend your will!

The screaming never stops, FYI. Not until you fill it.

Yeah I bet thats tough.. My friend works at walmart and everytime they get a new shipement of bettas he calls or text telling me there's fish that need saving and i have no room at the moment.. :( So totally not fair

Well my walmart doesn't do fish anymore because they don't get enough business for it.

But Petsmart has a pretty decent selection, and Petco is literally a five minute drive. And sometimes having grandparents who spoil you is a terrible thing, haha. I have no space, or armor to protect myself from my mother. XD

Yeah, I noticed that. The last fish that we had in that ten gallon was the unfortunate red veiltail Blaze my brother decided he wanted. Poor creature.

I might just sneak it away when I head off to college.

I'm very sure that with some time XD I will get like this. When I was getting my tank to set it up. I was looking at the bettas and there was this red one, I think he was a halfmoon. I actually was planning to get a blue one and name him after a betta in a book series I love. Now All I keep thinking of is this red Betta. I'm going Betta crazy already.

I know how you feel. I see all these bettas on here and how awesome they are and it makes me want to run to petsmart and convert my house into an aquarium.

i went to petsmart today and there were such gorgeous bettas there. there was a black and blue crowntail, and i swear, if he hadn't been $6 (i was already over budget on fish supplies!) i would have snatched him up in a heartbeat.

No joke. When I go to college I'm going to have to charge admission into my dorm room because it'll be an aquarium. My roommate is going to hate me.

There were some gorgeous bettas at Petsmart today. It took a dinner schedule to keep me away from them.

Yes, I have the mom problem. She likes animals too, but she doesn't want to be the one responsible for their care. So I wash, feed, clean up after the dogs that are supposed to be hers.

Plus, she hates fish with a forever undying passion. All caused by a fair goldfish she won that lived for like three years and got humongous and would dirty up the tank literally within minutes of it being clean. That fish pooped A LOT.

Yea ive done that a few times.. my mom was okay when i got my first one then one turned into 2 which turned into 4 which turned into 6 THEN she got angry. lol But she actually enjoys them now that there not in her house. Haha i even caught her talking to them one time it was to funny.

My Mom is 2 hours away and still humms and hawws on my numbers. Mom's will never stop, although hard to see now, it's a good thing :)

All i can tell people is... take on only what you can give the best care to. Don't have 40 fish that get minimal care when you can have like 5 fish that have everything. Or 5 fish vs 1 fish. Depends on the person. Someone said it perfectly the other day... once you start putting off water changes, you have hit your limit and possibly gone over it.

Exactly. I'm not going to go overboard with them by any means.

And Moms will stop when they're not given an address and I've had my phone number changed.
