Water question.

My water doesn't but lets just say some city's water has chloramine in it (which I know is chlorine+ammonia). So since there's ammonia in the water wouldn't tap water "cycle"? Lol just a random question I thought of .

You can't use the ammonia in chloramine without breaking the bond between atoms first. That is why you use a water conditioner. This breaks up the bond between chlorine and ammonia and then detoxifies the ammonia into ammonium.

The reason tap water doesn't cycle is that the chlorine present would inhibit any bacterial growth.

No bottled water is often stripped of anything useful to fish so without a detailed analysis it's dangerous to use it.

I don't have any in my water so I don't need to use bottled. And a sstated bottled water is bad. In fact, my city's water has no chlorine, chloramine, metals or any other additives, all I have is clean, clear, chemical free water (no bragging intended) :)
