there are actually vids in youtube showing males together with no divider, so yes there are some betta's that are nice, mines are stubborn and flare at each like saying "am the biggest and the better one" and the other says" na ahh am better than you"
your lucky >.< love to have a nice male

All fin types of bettas are the same. It depends on the actual, personality of the fish. I have a VT and a CT who are extremely aggressive. My other VT is very gentle.

bettas will ALWAYS be aggressive to each other. the videos on youtube, don't follow them. often, it's chance. they take the divider out, video tape the first few moments, then the video ends. often, it takes bettas anywhere from a few minutes, to days, but they'll always attack each other.

there's no 'least aggressive' type of betta. it depends on the fish. Cup, when he was still with us, was VERY aggressive. he'd flare at everything, including sounds! but, Ichi, my delta, never flares. i gotta work hard to get him to flare at anything, and he actually lived beside my blind betta, within sight of him 24/7, and had no issues.

some bettas, can live with ADF's. some, won't. it depends on your fish.

I have a giant who is insanely aggressive, and one who won't even fully flare for me! My most aggressive but playful fish ever was a veiltail.

So like everyone said, don't keep males together and just watch for their personalities =]
