My petsmart is better than petco. I just wish both stores would display the cups better so you can see all the bettas without moving the cups around.

my petco has "slots" for each cup. No cup is stacked on another cup and no cup is put infront of another cup.

Add me to the list of 'my petco has divided shelves for the betta cups.' cx
Petco is actually surprisingly good with giving me a great variety of well cared for bettas. My precious dragonscale plakat Galaxy I got from the one closest to my house, as well as my two butterfly female girls Sapphira and Emerald. The staff are starting to know me, as well - every time I go in there there's at least someone asking me what kind of fish I'm interested in before I even get to the fish area. cx

I wonder why my petco is still stuck in the stone age when it comes to bettas.

why do you say that? Most people who have posted here have indicated that Petco displays their bettas better than other stores :)

Here is an example of one of their display shelves.

Put me down for the divided shelves at Petco. They take very good care of the bettas from what I've seen.

Because my petco still has them on a shelf where you can only see the ones in the front row unless you move each cup. That's why I say that.

Try mentioning something to their manager? show them pics of the shelfing we have shown here and explain how its healthier for the Betta.
If the manager is one of those "corpertate types" explain that it will decrease fish loss and thus decrease Money spent.

Since other petcos are doing it and you can show them proof they would not have much of an arguement not to.
