I finally got one!

MONTHS after having one at work, I FINALLY brought home a betta of my own! <3
He's a shimmery green half moon with red on his tail and fins. I named him Tiberius, in my grand tradition of naming fish after Roman emperors. (I was gonna have a Caligula, but he died before I could take him home.)

He's pretty cute. My cat keeps staring at him like she can't figure out what he is, and he just stares back at her like "What are you gonna do, cat? Bring it."

I'm gonna have photos of him as soon as he gets used to my house a bit more. Or I should stay my best friend is gonna have photos of him, I don't have a camara and she's amazing at taking betta photos. (She's the one who introduced me to this forum, copperarabian)

And he probably could take my cat... I love her, but she's a wuss. XD

And I would love another one but I probably won't, there's only room in my room for the one little 3-gallon tank.

See, that's what I thought about my 5 gallon. Then I found a 16 gallon with a footprint that was only a fraction larger...

Life.

Thank you everyone for being so welcoming.

I'm already planning on buying him more things to spoil him. Perhaps a real plant rather than just a silk one, or some blood worms or brine shrimp. I can't help it - he's just so cute! Sometimes I catch myself staring at him. Just... staring at him. Watching him. He's really pretty and I am fascinated by the way his fins move

Also he is starting to greet me when I come in the room, which he doesn't do for my sister and brother. I think he has figured out I am the one who feeds him.

It's so addicting to purchase things for their tanks lol! And soon you will want more bettas =P Yep, he's doing the begging dance.. they love to interact with their owners, especially if they can get food from you!

Welcome, and he does sound handsome. I love true green bettas, they are hard to find, grats on finding the perfect little guy for you!

Breeder so I have too many to count and too many named to list here!
