Spectacular recoveries

So I was thinking about this the other day, when ever a fish starts to "roll" it always makes me kinda sick cause I equate that to dead fish. So thus, when they tend not to die lately (due to this forum) it always makes me really happy cause it feels metaphorically like bringing them back from death : D. (regardless of how minor a problem it actually is)

Any one else have any success stories of betta you didn't think would make it but did?

The most recent guy is Ezekiel. He's an orange/brown dalmatian VT.

I think he's doing amazingly well! He was head-on-a-stick thin, tiny little guy in a disgusting, cold cup only a week ago, very likely near death. Now he's eating every day and has a nice paunchy belly (He gets a high protein diet of frozen foods and NLS Grow pellets). He also seems to be growing a bit. He's extremely curious and active too and loves playing finger tag, lol. I'm hoping he grows a little more and gets some more weight. He's not out of the woods yet, but he's getting there. Zeke amazes me every day and I'm in love with him <333

Really amazing what good care can do for a betta, or any animal really :/

He's a cutie! In his current state he looks more like one of the wild-type bettas than a splendens. :) Gorgeous.

I wouldn't say he was on death's door, but my Sully wasn't in the best of shape when I got him. I'm pretty proud of his transformation =)
Here he is the day I brought him home, looking more like a guppy than a betta:

And this is his most recent photo:

Daisy- Mustard Gas (black and yellow) veil tail female
Milton- Teal butterfly halfmoon male (mom's betta)
