Color question! I'm confused lol

Are cambodians and orange dalmatians the same thing? Or is there some distinction that I haven't found yet? Just wondering :)

Cambodians have a solid, flesh colored body.

Dalmatians have spots of colors.

So, a cambodian would be a flesh colored body with red fins (As an example).

An orange dalmatian would be orange with spots of black (Usually).

ahh, gotcha :) I suppose it doesn't really matter, he looks like he could be either one in certain lighting.

i also am confused for some colouring between pineapples and chocolate betta. my ct i believe is a pineappple due to the yellow/black pattern on his body, se seems 60% black and 40 yellow but the pattern is consistent and obvious. the fins are light yellow with black edges.

There are Cambodian dalmatians... My female has a pale/see-through/non-pigmented body with pale orange fins and dark orange spots. Though her color is still developing. When I first got her she was completely clear.

Remember that the tank your fish lives in is his or her's whole world. Ask yourself this question, and answer it honestly: would you choose to live there?

I have seen a dalmation... soft orange body, with cellophone fins that had orange spots on them.

I had a cambodian - pale body, with dark or brightly colored fins. :)

Breed for the breed, not for the money; the words any REAL breeder would understand.

Dals come in many colors now. the most common is various shades of orange, with blood red spots on the fins, but now they're popping up with white with blue spots, i've seen pineapple with blood red spots on teh fins, ect.

cambodian will ALWAYS have a flesh-colored body, with colored fins(USUALLY red, but i've seen other colors).

if you go on Aquabid, and type in the search any of these words, you'll get dals:
Dot
Spot
Dalmatian

most of the first two aren't dals, though. :V but, they're what some breeders call dals.
