Spitting up Pellets?

Mr. Fish has been acting a little odd lately. He's normally a huge glutton, and gulps down his 4-6 pellets a day with no problem. But, lately he's been spitting them up every once in a while. I've never noticed him doing this before, and it's somewhat worrisome. Sir Crispin never leaves food un-nommed, and now I see pellets floating on the top of the water sometimes...

He turned 1 year old this November. Any thoughts?

Maybe it could be a digestive problem in the fish or just age. Like my new betta, he swallows it and 20 s later it spits it out.......hes fairly young

My late boy Akira used to do the same exact thing. He would eat every chance he got to of the same brand of food and then he suddenly refused to eat them. I saw him spit them out and he even choked on one luckily that too was spat out. I switched him to a different food and he ate like a P.I.G. until the day he died. My other betta's like it too.

Maybe you just need to get a smaller food like New Life Spectrum Small Fish formula?

Those are both definitely things to think about. He's always loved the Atson Betta Pro. But, maybe he's a little bored with it. I'll try out some blood worms for a day.

Or try bettamin flakes those are full of bloodworms. (My VT Lulu despises brine shrimp he will keep spitting it out until it's removed from the tank but loves flakes as a treat.)
