New Betta Fish Owner

My girlfriend bought me a betta fish and after some research I really got into the aquarium hobby. I currently have a 5 gallon tank with my crowntail betta. It is really active swimming around the tank, and it has a super aggressive personality. I have one moss ball in my tank but I plan to get into the live plants as well they look so much better. My girlfriend just got a betta as well we are going to set up her 5.5 gallon tank soon with live plants.

I have the same tank! I reccomend you get a cave though. Bettas need a place to hide an de-stress and a cave is the perfect place to do that!
Your guy is really pretty!

Yeah that's a good idea. I told him (my boyfriend) that too. His fish seems really happy though. Keeps wanting to fight his own reflection and flares at the glass. After moving him into his new home, we've really gotten to observe his personality. He's a spunky little guy. No name yet though. Any suggestions?

Hmm.... The name Spartan came to mind, I don't know why. It really just depends on what you like and his personality.

I'd name him Smaug, because he reminds me of a dragon with his color scheme (and I finished The Hobbit for the hundredth time, so it's fresh on my mind).

Hector - Male Delta Tail
"Who's scruffy-looking?!"

He's so cool! His tail is particularly spiky looking... I'd call him Cactus!
