Indignant Betta is not pleased

I put a divider in Zelo's 10 gallon tank so I can add another betta tomorrow, and he is quite displeased.

First because I had my hands in his tank, and now his space in cut in half!

But mostly he seems to be upset with the divider. He's staying on the far side of his half and flaring up a storm.

What makes your Betta flare up with annoyance?

Skyden is the WEIRDEST FISH EVER. A long time ago my mom put a neon tetra up to his tank (>:O) and ever since then he flares every time he sees a humans face. I don't know why! He's all fine, but the second you come near him he flares like no tomorrow. I've upgraded his tank, given him bigger caves, and everything else in between.

Oddly enough though, he always has the biggest bubble nests.. Odd little fishy but oh so adorable!

My girls don't flare, but for reasons I don't understand they have banded up with the female Endlers to attack my hands whenever I put them in the tank. 8 Endler girls and 6 female bettas all biting at once is the wierdest sensation. They never used to do it.
I think Circe is inciting them all to rebellion. >_<

I have trouble getting my guy to flare at me and when he does, I'm not sure what the special occasion is. He really doesn't like the "betta" in the corner of his tank (there's a small reflective corner that has plants around it).

No matter what I do Lelouch's tail heals then he rips the end in shreds and somehow causes more damage to himself...All over protecting his bubble nest. Yesterday he was approaching me without flaring for the first time and now? Flare evertime he see's my face.

I have a 20 long tank, divided into four. It houses Tybalt and Cirque, they have lived next to each other for a few weeks now. And my goodness, they HATE each other! I'm considering moving one of them, Tybalt jumped the divider yesterday and they beat each other up. Hopefully I fixed the problem!

Panache, doesn't ever flare... However, when I decided to feed flakes instead of pellets this morning simply to save time, he started flaring up a storm. As in, he puffed up like nobody's business and just sort of stayed like that that- all rigid with quivery fins for a few seconds before lunging at it and eating it. It was hilarious.

Lol, I'm a rebel. If it sets your tortured heart at ease, the flakes were omega one flakes (the first four or five ingredients were all whole fish, whole shrimp, etc) 41% protein. XD
