Yeah since you said it looks like he turns different colors when light hits him, that's sort of what a prism does to white light.

He's a lovely creature! You should try to get more pics of him in different lighting so we can see all his shades, but I sure do see hints of it in that pic! I love Whisp Shingo too! Its definitely unique!

Geek alert, here.

I'm obviously partial to Lord of the Rings since I named by chocolate halfmoon Radagast from one of the wizard's names, Radagast the Brown.

So a perfect name for a white, iridescent betta for me would have to be Saruman. He was Saruman the White, but his white robes were described as constantly changing swirls of color. Sounds just like your boy to me!
