I stopped in a Petco down near the University today and although the betta area seemed to be too close to the door for my taste, and it seemed to be a bit cool for them, most were in pretty good shape.

Then, as I started walking around looking at the other fish I see that they have written little notes on the fish tanks. Things like "We can get to be 8" long, a bigger tank is better. -Goldfish; We are territorial (or aggressive) -Cichlids; etc.

People will do what they're gonna do, but it was nice that they took the time to try and educate them.

That is really nice to see (really happy about the goldfish bit <3 ). You should add to those notes and put things on the knife fish tanks about how they need a 6 foot tank and devour anything that can fit in their mouths at night. There is a thread about monster fish and how ill-informed most people are when they buy them over in TFK (parent site of this forum) right now. It links a neat article by PFK.
