The ones who go to the petshop are from 5 to 9 months, my betta never stay with me longer than that unless there is some gorgeous ones then i keep them for my eyes. If i decide to sell some in aquabid, they are mostly 3.5 to 4 months.

I will not be using drinking water for my betta.
Drinking water is not all that great for bettas. Mine has been doing great in the water he is currently in. And I actually called the water company in Orange county and it is the same water levels as Seminole County's water.

So based off the fact that Spike has been doing excellent in his current water I'm pretty sure he is going to do just as well in the "new" water.
