Winnipeg Scared Me Today!!!
I came into the room today and checked on my babies. Zamboni said hi and then I looked into Winnipeg's tank. I couldn't see her anywhere. She wasn't in her betta log wasn't in her white plastic plant, lying down, near the wire of her heater, I just couldn't see her!
I got my boyfriend and friend to start frantically looking around in her 2.5 gal tank, which isn't as directed as I'd want it to be, but she's been fine. My eyes searched, with a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, on the edges around the tank and even the floor around the desk. Could she have jumped? I only took off the veggie wrap for a few hours, not putting it back after I fed her. Oh no, my baby girl! I said, "Winnipeg, fishy, where are you???"
Suddenly, she pops her little head out, "Here I am, Mommy!" When I moved her tank last night from my little fold out table to my desk her Zoomed Bettatherm heater got shifted and lifted a little from the bottom. The glass rocks moved in such a way that it created a cave, with the thermal heater as the roof. She poked her head out, saw all the commotion, and looked at the three of us staring dumbfounded at her.
Alright, babygirl, I got the hint. More hideyholes for you :)
