I think you should try adding some more tetras, Pog. Boost your school to 8 or 10. :)

Lol, greek names are the best. :p

If you have two species, but only 6 tetras total, that's a problem. You really need 6 of each to help them all feel not stressed. :)

Males and Females should not be kept together unless you are breeding them or are very experienced with bettas. They will fight and one will most likely end up dying.

BTW, You should make a new thread instead of posting your question on an existing thread.

Many of my scaly friends from my original tank from 2011 have passed, except for two! I am in the process of re-doing my tank. :)

Whether your tetras are nipping or not, Pog, you should still provide proper schools for your different species of tetra to ensure that they aren't stressed. They are only schooling together because you don't have enough of the different species.

Yes. I agree with bombularinas post. Having more so of 2 proper schools will result in much more exquisite behaviour with much looser schooling and a risen amount if activity where as keeping two improper schools (5-) will result in very tut schooling which isn't natural, very weary fish, and precautionary nippy fish. I would recommend if you have the space that you should ideally up the numbers if both species of tetras if you have the chane too as they will show a much more improved behaviour
