A fish and his moss ball!

LOOK AT MY BABY <3
Caravaggio’s new favorite thing to do is to swim little circles around the marimo ball in his tank! I’m glad that he appreciates it! 8) He’s never really paid attention to it before. I love this fish so much! He always swims away when the camera gets too close, though! The little bugger.

He's getting so big! When I brought him home, he was only 1.5 inches long. He's got to be 2 inches now, and he's so much HAPPIER since he settled into his 3 gallon tank.

He's even made an animal-lover out of my animal-disliking roommate! I catch her just looking at his tank and talking to him sometimes. Once she fed him an algae wafer (he ate all of it and bloated!) because she wanted to give him something. She didn't know they weren't for him! I wasn't angry, though. It didn't hurt him, and now I've told her what she can do if she wants to give him a snack. I just need her to tell me so I know to feed him a little less later in the day.

Awwwwwwh! I'm glad your little feeshy is enjoying life! When I got Omelette a marimo moss ball, he went NUTS just swimming tight circles around it! Now he has much more mental stimulation now that I moved him to a Petco Pet Keeper (3 gallons like yours), and he HAD 3 ghost shrimp...lol. I gave one to my friend, Omelette ate the biggest one (what a piggy!), and there's one remaining. Unfortunately, he's missing a whisker due to an over-curious Omelette.
My dad never fancied Bettas and when I first bought Omelette he was mad the fish was so raggedy looking. His fins grew out, and then he had beautiful color. THEN my dad liked him!
BUT then Omelette started nipping his tail (it was a mere nub at one point) so I moved him to a 3 gallon and got plenty of decor for him plus the 3 shrimp...

I hope little Caravaggio lives long and prospers :D

7 bettas, 2 goldfish, 50+ (accidental) snails, 2 parakeets, 1 dog, 2 cats

Rest in peace Butch, greatest dog ever, Omelette the Veiltail, and Chipita the Veiltail

Thank you! Haha, yes. He's definitely infatuated! A few weeks ago, he wouldn't leave the thermometer alone. I guess that he moves on quickly!

I'd best never breed him! I might create an entire line of males who leave their beloved thermometers for marimos after mere days of loving them!
