Red Thread of Death (Funny Story)
So it's evening here, around 5pm - time to feed the betta!
I had heard of people using thread before to feed their bettas while training them to jump higher. So I get out a length of red crochet thread.
I dip it in the water to wet it, and to my surprise, Rosie went crazy! She started chasing it all over the place! I thought this was great! I'd been looking for something to do that would get her active and thought I had found just the thing. She nipped at it a little, but to my shock she actually chomped down pretty hard! Not knowing what to do and not thinking, I immediately pulled the thread out of the water, thinking she would let go.
SHE DIDN'T. I pulled my whole fish out of the water!!
Of course, I immediately put her back in, no harm done.
Now she's completely terrified of it and won't chase it. She sees it and she flips out! Breathing heavy, flapping her pectorals, etc.
Guess I'll have to find her a different toy, lol
