Read Animal farm by myself in grade 8.. we did it again for the school this year. 1984 and Clockwork Orange were for fun though.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.

When I posted this comment, I was like on page ten. Then I read the entire thing.......

I currently own a male betta fish, a female betta fish, two eastern painted turtles, one western painted turtle, one Chinese dwarf hamster, and a whole load of guppies.

I like Orwell's 1984. It will really make you think!

I watched a made-for-tv version of it with animals done by the Jim Henson company. Gosh, that was back in like 1996 or something. Then I read the book afterward. My school never made us read books this interesting. -___-

Consider yourself lucky Sakura. You'd probably have to listen to: "why is this book so stupid" "why would they make it about animals" "who cares about Stalin" the whole time. I was the awkward silent one who was enjoying it.

That reminds me of the time I went to the Oregon Shakespeare festival in 7th grade. There were only three kids who actually enjoyed the plays. The rest just went because they got away from their parents.

EDIT: I never understood why Isaac Asimov wasn't required reading. A lot of people would relate to that better than Lord of the Flies.

Oh my gosh, Lord of the Flies. I'd rather have been assigned all 6 million seasons of Lost.

Life.

Lord of the Flies was interesting, but also really strange. The way he describes the various deaths was odd, and I just wanted to slap every kid on the island to get some sense into them.

Life.
